The Link - the $1 billion mixed-use district near PGA Frisco - just locked in a 3.5-mile hike and bike trail in its first construction phase. The Link just got a major piece locked in. At its Oct 20 meeting, City Council approved a developers agreement with Stillwater Capital that lays out the park obligations and fees for the entire $1 billion mixed-use district near PGA Frisco.

The big headline: a 3.5-mile hike and bike trail is coming in the first construction phase. The trail will connect directly into Frisco's existing hike-and-bike network, serving both Link residents and the surrounding neighborhoods.

The Link spans 240 acres at PGA Parkway and Legacy Drive, overlooking the PGA golf courses. When fully built out, it could include up to 2,206 multifamily units, 500 single-family homes and cottages, plus office space, retail, restaurants, and entertainment. Council originally rezoned the land in 2021.

The developers agreement means the city and Stillwater Capital now have a framework for how parks and trails will be funded and delivered as each phase rolls out.

The highly anticipated experiential sports store confirmed a Friday, November 13 grand opening. Originally slated for late October, the timeline has been adjusted.

🏢 Frisco EDC is tracking 30 active business prospects. The Oct 21 EDC board meeting reported 28,042 potential jobs in the pipeline across 20 corporate headquarters projects and 11 build-to-suit projects, representing 5.6 million square feet of potential office space. Average project: ~934 employees and $60.4 million in capital investment.

🎨 P&Z approved a downtown parking garage and park. The Oct 27 meeting greenlit a replat for 2.6 acres at 5th Street and Elm Street - combining the property into one lot for a garage and public park in the Rail District.
