Savings: About $900-$1,000 annually for most homeowners
The catch: Needs two-thirds legislative vote in 2027, then voter approval. Not happening until after the 2026 elections.
Patrick's end game? Eventually eliminate school property taxes entirely through exemptions (though that would require hiking state sales tax to 15%, so... yeah).
