Howdy Frisco -
Quick confession: I may have spent 20 minutes at Moon Valley Nurseries on Coit Road this weekend "just browsing" and somehow left with strong opinions about citrus trees. Emily was not surprised.
If you haven't swung by yet, it opened March 15 and it's dangerously fun, especially if you've been putting off doing anything with your backyard. Which I have. For two years.
Anyway. Big week in Frisco. Let's get into it. ⬇️
🎭 Universal Kids Resort Is Holding Auditions
I don't normally think about auditions. But when I tell you my 4-year-old has been doing a full dramatic Trolls performance in our living room every single evening... somebody get her a callback.
Universal Kids Resort is holding performer auditions this week as it starts building out its entertainment team ahead of the park's 2026 opening. They're looking for dancers, actors, storytellers, and character performers who can bring energy to themed lands built around DreamWorks, Nickelodeon, and Illumination properties (Shrek, SpongeBob, Minions, Jurassic World, you name it).
If you or someone you know is a performer, registration is open now and selected candidates get called back for in-person auditions.
For everyone else: the park is also hiring across ride operations, food and beverage, tech services, and more. They're talking 2,500+ construction jobs and thousands of permanent positions once it opens.
My girls are going to grow up thinking it's completely normal to have a world-class theme park 10 minutes away. Wild.
✈️ DFW Airport Is Getting Some Serious Glow-Ups
Good news for anyone who flies out of DFW (so… basically all of us):
The airport board just approved upgrades to Terminals D and F as part of the massive $9 billion DFW Forward plan.
Terminal D (international) is getting new self-service bag drop, check-in kiosks, and security tweaks so the lines move faster.
Terminal F (the brand-new terminal opening in phases starting 2027) is adding more gates and a revamped Skylink station. First 10 gates should be ready by May 2027.
Bonus: New public art installations are coming too, one inspired by the Trinity River and another big sculpture in the Terminal F atrium.
Nothing kills a vacation faster than a chaotic airport experience. These changes should help… at least a little. We’ll take any win while they build out that shiny new Terminal F.
🏥 Medical City Frisco Now Has The Only Mobile ECPR Program In North Texas
This one's less fun than theme parks but it's the most important thing in this newsletter.
Medical City Frisco just launched the only mobile ECPR program in North Texas and apparently the only intra-system mobile program of its kind in the entire country.
ECPR stands for extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The short version: it's an advanced cardiac emergency intervention used when standard CPR isn't enough to restart the heart. It uses an ECMO machine to temporarily take over the work of your heart and lungs while doctors treat what caused the arrest.
Only a few hundred hospitals nationwide offer this. And now local paramedics can activate a specialized team from Medical City Frisco or Medical City Plano while you're still in the ambulance so the team is ready before you even arrive.
🏠 71 Days Is A Long Time To Stress About Your House
The average Frisco home is currently sitting on the market for 71 days. That’s 10 weeks of spotless counters, showings around nap time, and midnight Zillow refreshes.
And after all that? Most sellers are still closing about 3% below asking.
Here’s what nobody says out loud: Frisco isn’t one single market. It’s dozens of micro-neighborhoods with very different buyer pools and realities. The agent who dominated Starwood last year might not be the right fit for Panther Creek this spring.
Emily matches Frisco sellers with hyper-local specialists who actually know their specific corner of the city and have the track record to get you to pending - not just listed.
It’s free for sellers, no obligation, and takes about 15 minutes.
👉 Skip the 71-day grind; talk to Emily first.
